Ode to Eminem, yo, his words offend so, but then again, woa...
Never thought I'd see rap as more than just crap.
Hate all of the violence, hear swear words and I wince,
Rather listen to old Prince or better yet, silence,
but I'm on the fence
since I had the good sense to check out Eminem,
hence, I listened again to his poetic pen.
I don't like what he's saying, but I like the word play-ing,
he raps about crime, but he rhymes in mid-line, more than one at a time, it's a mighty thin line
between booze and good wine, but you know its just fine
when you hear it, read the lyrics, you respect it, don't reject it.
Dr. Seuss would approve of the groove, if not the 'tude.
Wish I could write like him, wish he would ditch ole Kim,
wish I could bind in the poses I'm findin'
are out of my reach, still I teach,
drink my Peach
Diet Snapple Iced Tea, love the beach,
wish you each
a life of peace.
Amen,
YC
