The Universe has spoken.

Starting in mid March, through late April, I am going to be teaching two vinyasa classes a week at Yoga Sutra. When I got the phone call asking if I could take the gig, I was really, really happy. I am actually looking forward to it.

One of the things that was sucking the joy out of my love of teaching was the size of the classes I was teaching. Ten a.m. classes in midtown tend to be reeeeaaaaaallllllly slow. These classes I'm subbing are lunchtime classes in midtown, so they are usually quite crowded, 12 students minimum. To me, that rocks.

Plus, in recent weeks, I've made some wonderful discoveries on my own mat that I am looking forward to sharing....one of which is how to keep the chest open in chatturanga dandasana and the other is the notion of full wheel being the key to REALLY cracking open the heart.

And the whole gig is like five or six weeks, so it is not likely to begin to feel stale to me in that short span of time.

Sweet!

I live by a duck pond. I used to live by the East River. I don't work. I used to work a lot. Now, not so much. I used to teach a lot of yoga. Now not so much. I still practice a lot of yoga though. A LOT. I love my kids, being outdoors, taking photos, reading magazines, writing and stirring the pot. Enjoy responsibly.
