Thank you Kundalini.

I did Ana and Ravi's Warrior Workout today, and afterwords, I was so pumped and spinally flexy that I WANTED to do some backbends.

And so, I did.

Felt great, so I took some film.

Saturdays are Kundalini days around here from now on. What a painless and fun way to keep the spine flexy while resting from Ashtanga!

You look great- standing up from backbend and just in general.

I haven't done the Raviana Warrior workout in a long time. You are inspiring me. Do you march or do you run?

The thing about the RaviAna workout is how HIGH it makes me feel afterward. It's really incredible. But then doing all of Second Series leaves me feeling high too. I guess it's all the spine work.

With RaviAna, I march very energetically, like low impact aerobics. Very bouncy. But with Mantra Girl, I run it. I just do whatever the DVD tells me to do basically.

Every so often lately I've been doing my Firm workout video. The costumes are hilarious-- high
80's. And there is an IMPACT aerobic section. "No weights, please." But despite the comedy factor, it's a hell of a workout.

High impact aerobics got me into great shape in the 90's. I just got bored after a while. There's a place around here that supposedly has step aerobics! I need to check into that!

Bending your knees like that is not coming up from a backbend. It's really a cheat and you are not activating the muscles you need to use in order to actually come up. Just saying....
