Anyone ever hear of Kino MacGregor?

She's giving a workshop at The CT Shala this weekend.

I did a weekend workshop with her in '06 in MN. The owner of the studio where I was teaching then and her partner had met Kino and her partner Tim in Mysore in '05 and came home raving about her practice. The workshop was what I have come to expect from the ashtanga workshop circuit -- sessions of led primary in the am and some exploration of jumping, bhandas, inversions or whatnot in the pm. What she and Tim bring is the inspiration of her physical practice (wow!), their commitment to the SPJ tradition (to me, a conundrum), and their good cop/bad cop set up (she -- all 90 lbs. -- is the tough one). I hope you attend. I'd love to hear what you think.

Never met her in person, but:

1) youngest woman to be certified by SKPJ, if you care.

2) Arturo has a post about a workshop with Kino and Tim; search around on cronyogitect at blogspot.

3) everything I've heard about her is good. Quite, in fact.

I live by a duck pond. I used to live by the East River. I don't work. I used to work a lot. Now, not so much. I used to teach a lot of yoga. Now not so much. I still practice a lot of yoga though. A LOT. I love my kids, being outdoors, taking photos, reading magazines, writing and stirring the pot. Enjoy responsibly.
