The next step in the uglification of my feet

For some reason, I feel that these are cute. And I've always wanted white sandals. They remind me of the sandals I wore when I was about three years old. And they have a two-inch sole, which means that I get to stand a little taller than barefoot.

They were on sale for $139 on Walker's Warehouse dot com.

I am doing this for Pasasana.

I must be really crazy.

No, not cute.
Sorry, but not.
I'm glad they are helping your practice, but you have thrown fashion out the door!
Please don't wear them into the city,
you need to keep your reputation up:)

Please, Lauren, don't wear them. It injures my eyes when I only see them.

Walk barfoot at home.

You guys are hilarious. I LOVE them! I am going to set new standards of haute foot couture. Remember what everyone said when skinny jeans came out, right? And before that, when low rise hit the scene? It was all, "eeeew, I would never wear that," and as you are reading this, you're probably wearing some low rise skinnies, yourself.

LOVE MA SHOES

And soon I will be doing pasasana like a young, spry Indian girl who has never used any toilet that wasn't a hole in the ground.

You may have already seen this, but this is the link to the NYM article this week on shoes and feet:

Why do you need Maasai Walking Technology for pasasana?

It's funny that specialized shoes have been developed to help highly industrialzed people achieve the gait of third-world tribesmen that have no shoes.

I bet you could walk on water with those flotation devices. Maybe they come in a clear color, like wonder woman's plane....no one would be able to see them.

My friend, Paris, told me they're HAWT.

I own a pair of MBT shoes and do not particularly like them. First of all, they make me hyperextend my knees (I tend to do this anyway, and these shoes made it worse). Secondly, they made my walk funny. I sligthly jump when I walk in them, which is noticeable and not very attractive in a middle aged woman like me. They might work better for you, Lauren, but I regret $220 I spent on them.

Have you trind lovering your heels down from the stairs to stretch calves?

Those shoes are way hideous. They even look bad on the model on the company's website. You go girl. Wear your ugly shoes in the name of yoga.

I have those exact same white mbt sandals. I like them and wear them running or for long walks locally, but wouldn't wear them, as Susan said 'into the city'.. but they're comfy and I like that my toes can get some air while I run :)

Well, those things are just hideous! Lauren, what about ballet flats? Get thee to Repeto or Capezio tout de suite!

I LIKE them, dammit! And I will wear them in the city. I will wear them to look pretty. I will wear them on a bus. I will wear them without fuss. From there to here, from here to there, fugly things are everwhere!
