Today's Backbending Entry...
Progress is slow, almost imperceptible to look at. But what can you do? It is what it is.
My armpits feel more open, even if they don't quite look it. And I know my updog feels better through the lower back and hip-fronts.
It's been six days of January, with six days of practice. Yesterday, just 10 Sun Salutations, followed by a backbending R&D session. Today, all of Second at home. I really love those Seven Headstands. I wish I loved backbending...

For not loving backbends, you're rocking the pose!
Well you're so much better than I am. Where are your chaps?
Sometimes camel pose makes me want to puke.
Thnks guys. Deb, camel makes me wnt to puke too when I do it in hot room. In a non-hot-yoga room, it's really not too bad.
is that another tv back there? how many do you have? be honest.
Same tv, same room, but you don't even recognize it because it has come so far since the first time you saw it...the rug, the little behind-the sofa-tables with books and photos, the little accent lamps...admit it, it's looking way better, no?
About those whole practice every day no matter what thing... It kind of reminds me of these stories I read every so often about guys (it's always men) who have run every day for 20 years, and even when they were so sick with the flu that they could barely walk they still get up and drag their asses around the block so as not to break their records. Doing the same with yoga-- practicing at least for 10 minutes, even if you have to force yourself to do it-- seems like kind of not really doing yoga at all, because are you really honoring your body at that point?
The change is quite obvious. It's not been that long, you know. You're changing faster than you realize.
