what does it take, i ask you??? what? tell ne!!!
And i will do it. Just tell me. Communicate with me. Do i need to breathe deeper? Practice faster? Practice slower? Lift up into a handstand after uttkatasana? Jump straight into every pose, arms bound? Bind in supta kurmasana without assistance?
Today was my seventh or eighth full-on total-bound full-monty supta K in a row. It was my third dwi pada liftup. It was my first dwi pada to a workmanlike titthibasana to an actual bakasana.
I fear that Sir is one day going to tear his face off, revealing himself to be that most famous of mind-fuckers of them all, Ben "Henry Gale" Linus of Lost fame. Has the leader of the Others actually infiltrated the yoga world? For the love of god and all that is holy, let this not be true!!!!!

Maybe all of us Ashtangi.netters can dedicate our practice to this cause, and see if that helps, you never know.
You've got me curious now about how this saga will finally end. Probably when you get to the point that you really stop caring, then it'll finally happen ... Murphy's Law.
btw, you can add Ontario, Canada to your list :>
Stating the obvious, you need to let go.
Do Nothing.
Then do nothing some more...
...full-monty supta K...
Your teacher lets you get away with this?
Santosha
Give me his fucking number.....:)
Gosh, you wanted supta k so badly for so long. Why not just enjoy how good it feels for a while?
Guy is a great teacher, but really conservative in pacing students through the practice. Just think - if you're antsy now, what's it going to be like when you're waiting for intermediate? Why not Greg? No telling when he's bump you into 2nd, but at least you'll get to practice full primary immediately.
Karen, that's a good point. I am exactly the same. The minute I started to be able to do pincha m, I then looked ahead to what I couldn't do. The poses are just candy to keep the childish mind involved and interested in continuing the practice. Get no new poses, do the same practice every day, and the benefits are probably greater, psychologically speaking (maybe cheri can help with that), than if you keep getting or looking for new poses. it is through the boredom of routine that we make discoveries--allowing the squirrel a full, exhausting run in the cage until there is nothing left.
Carl, YC's use of full monty is correct. the true meaning of full monty is 'the whole thing'. it is just the naked movie that confused a bunch of yanks into thinking that it meant 'naked'. (although perhaps a nude supta k would grab guy's attention.)
And YC, I have a friend who spent 2 years at guy's stuck on bakasana b. She finally quit going and practices at home. It's a fight with the ego--it's a learning experience on so many levels. Trust us, grasshopper, the pebble is in the other room still.
