If it were funny, it would be one thing...

But sadly, it is not. See, it's a thin line, the line that separates clever snarks from mere trolls. To paraphrase the Supreme Court's definition of obscenity, I can't tell you what it is, but I know it when I see it.

Trolls are like stray cats. When they get a taste of something they like, they keep coming back for more. And to a troll, nothing tastes quite so good as a nice, freshly cooked plate of attention. Fortunately, as with stray cats, if you don't feed them, eventually, they stop coming round.

So, please refrain from feeding the latest troll, who is not funny, not original, not at all clever and probably not very pretty.

And anyone who doesn't know what I'm talking about...well, consider yourself lucky!

Hi rew, and a big chag sameach to you too! Understand that my big professional coup came nearly 7 years ago when times were different, and I was an experienced technology lawyer in a market that demanded technology lawyers but that had spawned very few of them (I had been practicing law relating to the internet and software since 1994). SO, I did have some bargaining power. Plus, there was already a non-salaried, non-benefits part-timer who paved the way for people like me to come along and negotiate better deals.

Good luck! Email me if you want to discuss further...

Did you ever see the SNL skit about the GREAT apartment deal on the upper west side? The only hitch was the troll who lived behind a big hole in the living room apartment wall. The real estate agent would be showing couples around & explaining about the troll, and every now and then he'd snatch a new, innocent victim. Was pretty funny.

This is from the Gilda Radner, funny SNL period.

I live by a duck pond. I used to live by the East River. I don't work. I used to work a lot. Now, not so much. I used to teach a lot of yoga. Now not so much. I still practice a lot of yoga though. A LOT. I love my kids, being outdoors, taking photos, reading magazines, writing and stirring the pot. Enjoy responsibly.
