Oh, the shame.

But you know dangling "ats" make me all squingey, too. They're my personal peeve. Anyway, off to read the article, now!ashtanga en cevenneshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02979153677859447117noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13149662.post-57586015507287677922008-07-21T20:00:00.000-04:002008-07-21T20:00:00.000-04:00Nice job Lauren! But this one is much better than your previous posts.

Since you've stepped up your game I hope you won't mind a minor critique. There's some disagreement regarding ending clauses with prepositions. If you're always mindful of your prepositions, though, you can use them more flexibly and they'll work out okay. An example of a killer is...

...if skinny is not exactly where you're at...

I understand you want to keep it colloquial but this instance of the prepositional 'at' is a bomber. It's not only a matter of grammer -- it has a lot to do with rythm too. You could modify this to say: if skinny is not exactly where you are and that would work a bit better.

Keep up the good work!Carlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17238446003267829187noreply@blogger.com
